Catherine "Kathy" Marie Anderson, 64, of Bagley, MN, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, MN. A wake will begin the night before on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Kathy was born to Katy Durant Thompson and Peter Thompson, Sr. on September 28, 1952 in White Earth, MN. She attended Bagley schools. She moved to Minneapolis, MN and met Anson Beaulieu and had two daughters with him. Later, she moved back north to Bagley, MN and met Robert Neeland and they had one son and one daughter together. She Married Stephen Anderson on May 20, 2000, and together they raised a granddaughter, Katy, and a grandson, Skyler LaFriniere.

Kathy loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter, cleaning, listening to music, playing cards and dice, rummage sale-ing and thrift shopping, 20/20 Bingo, visiting, and concerts. She will be very missed.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughters, Penny of Bemidji, Mia (Quinn) Sargent of Bagley, Katy La Friniere of Bagley; her sons, Aaron (Cindy) Thompson of Bagley and Skyler LaFriniere of Bagley; her special niece, Valerie Thompson of Mahnomen; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her brothers, Peter (Evelyn) Thompson of Bagley, Jack (Laura) Thompson of Minneapolis; her sisters, Joy "Dolly" (Paul) Hammond of Tuscon, AZ and Josephine "Lou" Randberg of Makoonce; special uncle, Albert "Dunk" Dunkley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Katy Durant Thompson and Peter Thompson, Sr.; her daughter, April; her sisters, Doris and Dorothy; her brothers, Chick and Ed; and her special friend, Robert Neeland.
