Three local teens have been arrested and others are being investigated in connection with multiple threats on social media that targeted nearly two dozen Phoenix-area high schools since Sunday night, Phoenix police announced Tuesday.
Two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl, all of whom live in Phoenix and attend Phoenix schools, were arrested and could face felony charges, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
It began Sunday night with a threatening social-media post mentioning Carl T. Hayden Community High School in Phoenix. School officials notified parents and immediately began working with police.
