Elizabeth was a selfless and brilliant woman who was admired by many people. She spent countless hours volunteering with the Catholic Charities Organization over the course of 32 years, which earned her the Volunteer of the Year Award. She was a member of the Salvation Army Women's Corps, and in her spare time she worked full time for the Gillett Company working her way into management and retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. Elizabeth loved working with community members for pertinent social issues. A few that were near and dear to her heart were the homeless and elder population. She helped anyone who was in need. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family and friends, she really liked a good piece of fry bread and a good batch of wild rice. She loved a good crossword puzzle, her favorite being the New York Times Sunday crossword, which she would finish in about 45 minutes and always in pen. She also spent a lot of time at her local senior center playing in scrabble tournaments. Elizabeth's legacy will be her selfless service to others and her undying faith in God.

She is welcomed home by her parents; Oliver and Anna, her son; Steven Wayne Heyer, sisters; Alice Mae Fairbanks and Dora Washington, brother; Eddy Fairbanks, many other relatives and friends.
