Patricia Jane Blue, 79 of Red Lake, MN died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Red Lake Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake, Minnesota. A wake will begin at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake and go until the time of service. Interment will be at the family home in Little Rock with Tom Pollack officiating. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family.

She was born March 12, 1937 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of William "Bill" Omen, Sr. and Pearl (Morrison) Omen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and looked forward to her many road trips with her husband of 45 years, Jerry, to basketball games and surrounding area church events, all the while listening to her beloved gospel music, to which she sang beautifully and was widely known for. She was invited to sing at these events many times with her husband playing guitar along side of her including; local Redby PTL and Redby Community Church also out in Bemidji, Ball Club, Naytahwaush and White Earth. This was a great joy in her life and she loved to share her stories with her family of whom she met and her many visits with them. She also enjoyed her trips to the local casinos and her many shopping sprees for her family. Although brief, she really like working as a receptionist for Little Rock Health Station and Red Lake Housing Authority and as an Absentee Judge in Red Lake at voting time. When health issues finally prevented her from traveling she loved keeping in touch with her many friends over the telephone and her frequent visits and calls with her daughter. Patricia was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Blue of Red Lake; children, Vicki Stately and Keith (Kristen) Blue of Red Lake; brothers, Laverne Omen and Delan "Steve" Omen of Red Lake; sisters, Meryle Omen-Sayers, Linda Omen, and Mary Omen all of Red Lake; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be joining her parents, William and Pearl Omen; sisters, Edith Omen and Eleanor Annette; brothers, William "Charlie Brown" Omen, Jr. and Adrian Omen; niece, Juanita Bonga; great niece, Autumn Bonga and great great granddaughter, Aubrey Brun.

Active Casketbearers will be Daniel Brun, Kenneth "Josh" Brun, Donald Brun, Kevin Spears, Sr., Anthony Benais and Keith Blue. Alternates will be Riley Chaboyea, Micah Brun and Kevin Spears, Jr.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Adrian Omen, Phylis Sumner, Roman Stately, Wally Holstein, Cody Spears, James "Sonny" Droulliard, Kristen Lussier, James Gibbs, Connie Berg, Julie Stately, Tim Brown, Judy Roy, Jackie Sayers, Donald "Donnie Bo" Brun, Michelle Brun, William Parkhurst, Darwin Stately, George Stately, Shieleen Omen, Delores Lasley, Josephine Smith, Becky Pollack, Donna Sumner, Kathy Annette, Duane Spears, Pete Neadeau, Olga Hanson, Julia Jones, Tammy Brown, Harlow Spears, Alaina Parkhurst, Amelia Benais, James Parkhurst, Jr., Randy Reaby, Jane Barrett, Linda Adams, Diane Graves, Lori Mostrom, Dana Bonga, DeAnne Tonsanger, Denise Johnson and all the inpatient staff at RLIHS.
