Making History: Democrats Nominate First Woman Presidential Nominee – Hillary Rodham Clinton

PHILADELPHIA – The Democratic Party today nominated Hillary Rodham Clinton to be its 2016 presidential nominee this evening in Philadelphia.

The nomination of Clinton is historic in that it is the first time a major political party has nominated a woman to be a nominee for president of the United States.

Representing the state of Oklahoma delegates, Dr. Isabel Louise Keith Baker, 87, mother of Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker, announced the votes Oklahoma.
