Leonard Orville Shepherd, age 45, of Sisseton Journeyed to the Spirit World on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

He was born on August 18, 1970 in Sisseton, South Dakota the son of Raymond Shepherd and Marva Redthunder.

Leonard graduated in 1990 from Flandreau Indian School.

He was formerly employed at The Dakota Connection.

Leonard enjoyed playing softball, basketball, riding horse, spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He liked to joke around and laugh and make other laugh too. He especially liked to visit.

Leonard was a rider for The Dakota 38 +2 Riders and would participate in the Makto Ride.

Survived by his son: Evan Shepherd; his parents: Raymond Shepherd and Marva Redthunder his companion: Tami Redday sisters: Char, Kaitlyn, Raylynn Shepherd, Fern & Nicki Keeble; brothers: Ray Shepherd III and Daniel Shepherd, Claude & George Keeble, his good brother/friend Chris Felecia Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandparents too numerous to name.

Len is preceded in death by sisters Tami Shepherd, Claudette Keeble, brothers Josh, Brandon Sr., Andrew Shepherd Sr., Adrian Keeble, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
