Dennis Thomas Siddens, age 62, of Red Lake, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Dennis was born on March 22, 1954, the son of Doris Sumner and Robert Siddens in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dennis was raised in Port Authur, Texas and at the age of 14 he moved to Red Lake to be with his aunt Marion McGraw after the passing of his mother. He graduated from Red Lake High School in 1972. Dennis joined the United States Marine Corps in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1975. After returning home from the Marines, Dennis graduated from Red Lake Indian Action program as an Electrical Engineer. He later worked for the Red Lake Police Department from 1973 to 1979. From 1990 to 2010 Dennis worked in the maintenance department of the Red Lake IHS Hospital. He went to many casinos and traveled to many different places. Dennis liked to watch the Vikings games and he made sure he was on pools. He absolutely loved his granddaughters. In 1974, Dennis married Rae Lynn Sayers and together they had two children Jason and Brandi Siddens.

Dennis is proceeded in death by his parents; Robert and Doris, brother; Dallas Siddens, aunties; Alice Brown and Marian McGraw, his grandparents, and many other relatives.

He leaves behind his children; Jason (Charlene) Siddens and Brandi Siddens both of Red Lake, granddaughters; Kyra and Tia Siddens and Ashleigh and Arianna Smith, numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

An overnight wake for Dennis will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28th at the Red Lake Community Center and continue until his 1:00 p.m., funeral service on Friday, July 29th at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Dennis will be Dave Brown, Jr., Vernon McGraw, William McGraw, Michael Melikan, Brian Seki and John McGraw. Alternate pallbearers are Darrell Seki, Jr. and James Brown. His honorary pallbearers are Darrell Seki, Sr., Wilfred Strong, Larry Roy, Ervin Iceman, John Cobenais, Sr., Charlie Perkins, Michael Barrett, Sr. and Yvonne McGraw. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery following services on Friday.
