Lawrence “Larry” Edward Krumrey II, age 29, of Cass Lake began his spiritual journey on July 20th from Cass Lake, Minnesota. Larry was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on December 2, 1986 to Patricia (Ryan) Morgan and Laurance Krumrey I.

Larry attended and graduated from the Bug-o-nay-ge-shig school in 2007. He played basketball and football. He worked at Che-we Express then later at The Cass Lake Lumber Yard.

He enjoyed spending time with his fiancé, family and friends. Larry loved many things in life like working and spending time outside, listening to music, working on cars, and houses, making people laugh by cracking jokes and acting goofy. He loved to work out and go boughing with friends. Larry couldn’t stay in one place for long, he loved to visit and would talk your ear off if you’d let him. Cooking was a joy for him, he took pleasure in watching his family and friends appreciate the things that he created. Larry was very loving and caring, he’d give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

Those welcoming Larry into the spirit world are his parents; Patricia and Laurance I, brother; Jason Derek Krumrey, aunties; Kathleen and Rhonda Hurd, uncles; Darrell Ryan, Curtis Cross and Gerald Hurd, grandparents; Robert and Bernice Hurd, Sr. and his very close cousin; Jason Cross.

He leaves behind his son; Lawrence Edward Krumrey III of Bena, sisters; Angela (Jesse Dunn) Morgan and Frances Krumrey both of Cass Lake, his fiancé; Nita Clark of Cass Lake, nephews; James and Austin Morgan, Tyler (Seneca Keezer) and Ryan Randberg, Derek Hunt-Krumrey and Robin Windom III, nieces; Jessica Morgan and Katrina Wakonabo, great niece; Jayanna Morgan, aunt; Julie Jones, special aunt; Debbie Adams, uncle; Terry Jones and numerous other aunties, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

A wake for Larry will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Monday, July 25th all being held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake. Steve Jackson will be his spiritual leader. Pallbearers for Larry will be Ben Meat, Lee Elknation, Jage Hunt, Ronald Hunt, Austin Morris, Jordan Mietennen, Brandon Murray, Nick Strong, Chris Cross and Alan Randberg. His honorary pallbearers are all his nephews. Interment will be in the Porcupine Cemetery at Cass Lake/Mission following his Monday service.
