Stolen Navajo police vehicle ends in crash

A man who allegedly stole a Navajo police vehicle ended off Navajo Route 12, north of Fort Defiance, after being involved in a high speed pursuit.

The unidentified man was loaded onto a gurney and taken to the Tsehootsooi Medical Center for unknown injuries.

The police vehicle, with its emergency lights still flashing, crashed into the embankment on the side of the highway. Its driver side rear wheel was missing, appearing to have sustained rear end damage.
