Spirit Lake man sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexually abusing child

FARGO—A Fort Totten, N.D., man was sentenced to 40 years in prison in Fargo federal court Monday for sexually abusing a child.

A jury found Jade Shilo Oldrock, 42, guilty July 17 of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and commission of a federal sex offense by a registered sex offender.

Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Oldrock to 30 years in prison for the aggravated sexual abuse and 10 years on the commission charge, plus 10 years of supervised release. Part of the conditions of his release include undergoing a chemical dependency treatment program and psychological counseling, registering as a state sex offender, having no contact with anyone under the age of 18 and not having any contact with the victim.
