Audrey Annette Prentice-Cavazos, Waa Woo Maaingan, which means "Howling Wolf", age 66, of Redby, began her spiritual journey on May 8, 2016 after a courageous battle with many health issues at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Audrey was born on February 19, 1950 in Redby the daughter of Juan Cavazos and Gloria Prentice. Audrey was a funny lady with a unique and wonderful personality who was able to connect to so many people even those she met briefly. You could find this to be true in her customer relations career of 10 years at the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls. The Players Club guests would bestow her gifts and momentos that she cherished. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother and grandmother. She shared a close relationship with her son and her grandchildren. They love family cookouts and watching movies together. Audrey was proud of her son Jon as a member of the song and drum group Battle River. Audrey and Bill shared a special bond over thirty four years. They enjoyed nature, wildlife, exploring the outdoors and music. They shared a true relationship. She will not only be missed by Bill and family, but by all those who knew her.

Audrey had a strong spirit and her spiritual connections were both natural and her Catholic beliefs.

The family that Audrey joins again are her parents; Juan and Gloria, one infant baby, grandparents; Paul and Mary Jane Prentice and numerous aunts and uncles.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her beloved life partner; Bill Narcomey, son; Jon Prentice of Redby, grandchildren; Monica, Shaylyn, Reise and Delya Prentice all of Redby and Garrett of Net Lake, one sister; Jeanie Cavazos of Idaho and two special grandchildren; Maurice and Aelani.

A wake for Audrey will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, held at St. Mary's Mission in Red Lake.
