George Earth Sr., Bizanii Gaabo ~ "Standing Still", 80, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Traditional funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Facility Center, Cass Lake, MN. A wake will begin at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Facility Center. Interment will be in Prince of Peace Cemetery, Ten Lake Township, Beltrami County, MN. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.

George Ernest Earth Sr. was born July 25, 1935 in Cloquet, MN to Michael and Jenny (Peterson) Earth. He attended a boarding school in Minnesota. George married Rita Losh in Chisholm, MN. He worked in the coal mines. They moved to Cass Lake, MN. George was a chemical dependency counselor, worked in logging, worked in mental health and worked as a life coach. He also drove limousine. George married Mary Feather and they lived in Bemidji. He loved going to the casino and dancing at pow wows. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cutbank of Bemidji; children, David Burnett, Bonita Earth and Kathy Earth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Jenny Earth; first wife, Rita Earth; sons, George Earth Jr. and Dennis Earth and brother, Donald 'Bud" Earth.
