Nakiah Jean Stillday, "Opichi Ikwezens" which means "Lil Robin Girl", age 21, from Red Lake passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 2nd, 2016. She was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on October 14th 1994 to Kenton Stillday, Sr. and Nichole Engelby.

Nakiah was a loving daughter, sister, auntie, niece and granddaughter. She was very beautiful inside and out, who had a special way with children. Her heart was so big. She loved with all her heart and would protect anybody she loved. She always did what she wanted. Nakiah was known by many people who loved her dearly and will forever be missed.

Those welcoming Nakiah to the spirit world are paternal grandpa; Jug Stillday, paternal great grandparents; Simon Beaulieu and Lillian Greenleaf, maternal great grandmas; Mary Roberts and Pauline Engelby, maternal great grandpa; Dave Brown, Sr., niece; Maci Nelson, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her mother; Nichole (Lance Peterson, Sr.) Engelby of White Earth, father; Kenton Stillday, Sr. of Fairbault, sisters; Lakeisha Peterson, Sierra Stillday, Bobbie Jean Barrett, Hope Stillday, Raylyn Peterson, Leela Stillday, Independence Stillday and Liberty Stillday, brothers; Lance Peterson, Jr., Dominic (Cordelia Williams) Nelson, Kenton Stillday, Jr. and Jayden Stillday, aunties; Crystal, Dorla, Charmaine, Karla, Jody and Bryana, uncles; Randy, Wayne, Kyle Sr., Anthony, Sheldon and Sonny, maternal grandparents; Melanie (Doug) Nowling and Bruce (Georgia) Roy, paternal grandma; Gail Stillday, maternal great grandma; Ruth Beaulieu, aunties, uncles, cousins and many many friends.

A wake for Nakiah will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7th and continue until her 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Saturday, April 9th all being held at the Old Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake. Steve Jackson will be her Spiritual Leader. Those laying Nakiah to rest are Dominic Nelson, Kyle Stillday, Jr., Randy Stillday, Anthony Nowling, Earl Brown, Jerricho Redeagle, John Schoenborn and Jared Engelby. Her alternate pallbearers are Wayne Stillday, Kyle Stillday, Sr. and Cody Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are her sisters, Sierra Stillday, Bobbie Jean Barrett, Raylyn Peterson and Hope Stillday, Dorla Stillday, Karla French, Jody Engelby, Crystal Engelby, Erica Weaver, Gina Weaver, Charmaine Hill, Kimberly Watso, Kimberly White, Autumn Stillday, Danielle Sauvageau, Dawn White, Dreanna Manypenny, Tyson Makey, Kenton Stillday, Jr., Thomas Sayers, Adriah Sayers, Phillip Sayers, Jr. Patti Budreau, Dez Weaver, and the Thunder Girls. Interment will be in the Stillday Family Burial Grounds at Ponemah, Minnesota following her Saturday service.
