Update on Fatal Hunting Accident

On November 8, 2014, the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension )BCA) conducted an intensive investigation into the hunting related death of Paul Scholl, 50, of LaPorte, MN. After processing all of the evidence, which included blood, physical evidence, forensics, statements and photos, it has been determined that no foul play was involved. It is the opinion of the investigative agencies that the incident is ruled ACCIDENTAL. The case has been closed and no further action will be taken.
