Weather Channel meteorologist's car crash death ruled a suicide

Weather Channel meteorologist Nicholas Wiltgen committed suicide, the Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia said Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the medical examiner’s office, Wiltgen died Sunday from major head and brain injury, the result of an intentional act of driving a vehicle through the concrete wall of a parking deck.

“The cause of death is craniocerebral trauma and the manner of death has been classified as suicide,” the medical examiner’s statement read.
