Snow on the way, messy roads expected

Expect a snowy commute this evening and a shovel-able snow by morning over much of the region. A snowstorm has already brought poclets of heavy snow to our south and southeast with Minneapolis and Sioux Falls areas already experiencing driving difficulties. The heaviest snow is expected from eastern South Dakota into central Minnesota, with 5-8" expected and a few spots topping off with around 10". The Fargo Moorhead area is probably on line for around 3-6". The Grand Forks area is likely to pick up between 1-3". Not much wind is expected so blowing snow should not be a problem, but roads will be slippery and ice-covered and the snow, itself, will cause reduced visibility. Snow is expected to lighten and gradually end tomorrow.
