The Monday after the long Thanksgiving weekend brought the season’s first snowfall to the Twin Cities that truly mattered, a predawn reminder to motorists and homebodies alike of just why we supposedly “like it here.”
The poorly timed wintry wallop nudged vehicles by the dozens into ditches and guardrails. A pileup involving two semitrailer trucks just after 6 a.m. had three lanes of southbound Interstate 35W blocked at Hwy. 280, spawning a major backup in Roseville.
