A Native American elixir goes mass market

EAST JEWETT — There’s a new product on the shelf that is actually very old.

People have been drinking maple water almost as long as there has been maple trees. There are Native American legends about it and South Korean traditions built around maple water.

But it wasn’t until recently that maple water began being bottled and sold in stores.
