Dalayna Littlewolf, age 3, of Naytahwaush, MN, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Sanford Health Systems in Fargo, ND.

Dalayna Lynn Littlewolf, the daughter of Tabitha Porter and Charles Littlewolf was born June 22, 2012, in Detroit Lakes, MN. Dalayna was born with Mitochondrial disease and despite this was always smiling and happy. She had big brown eyes, long beautiful hair and a wonderful smile. Her favorite character was Minnie Mouse. She liked to color, put puzzles together and chase after her cat in her wheelchair. Dalayna was a little boy crazy and was known to be a tad bossy. She loved the camera, taking selfies and doing photo shoots. She also went through ceremony and was given her indian name by 4 we’ehs. She touched many hearts in her short time on earth and was loved by many.

Dalayna made her home with family, Paula (Calvin Sampson) Littlewolf, Jennifer Oppegard, Richard Littlewolf, Skyler Accobee, Jakob Littlewolf, Tiniah Bevins and Alexander Littlewolf. She is also survived by her birth parents, Tabitha Porter of Mahnomen and Charles Littlewolf of Naytahwaush; three brothers: Thomas Porter, Eric Jackson and Austin Jackson; grandparents, Fred & Sharon Porter, and Thomas Allen, all of Mahnomen; great-grandma, Nona Townsend, also of Mahnomen; four aunts: Crystal Littlewolf, Cassie Littlewolf, Carla Littlewolf, Tiffany Blue; five uncles: Ron (Crystal) Blue Jr., Dustin Blue, Fred C. Porter, Trevor and Travis Clark. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Belva Littlewolf and great-grandparents, Pat and Addie Porter.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Old Community Center, Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation began at the Old Community Center on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. with a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. and continued until the funeral service on Thursday. Interment was held at the Traditional Burial Grounds, Naytahwaush.
