Job Summary:

Red Lake Nation Propane is looking for part time/seasonal LP drivers. If you have a CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, and want to work where your experience and dedication make a difference, join our team!

Essential Functions:

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.

• Inspects vehicles and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.

• Maintains maintenance & reports any suspected mechanical problems immediately to supervisor.

• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.

• During daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires.

• Requires on call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.

• Must possess a drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.

• Responsible to ensure attention to detail

• Meet all DOT requirements.

• Responsible to operate vehicle in a safe manner and obey all traffic laws.

• Inspects, paints, repairs and loads tanks and cylinders.

• Under supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products under safety guidelines.

• Assists with maintenance of service center, Propane plant & yard for a professional appearance.

• Position will require working evening hours and weekends as needed

• Represent the tribe and department in a positive professional manner in the community. Physical fit and able to load and unload fuel hoses numerous times daily.

• Performs in extreme temperatures during winter months for long periods while delivering fuel & conducting maintenance.

Requirements:

• Must to be able to lift up to 75 lbs

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year driving experience

• Class A or B CDL license with air brake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements

• Pre-employment drug screening required

• Clean driving history (No DUI's)

Experience preferred/able to obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) which includes airbrake license and hazmat (hazardous material) must be insurable or will train to meet requirements.
