Road closures this week in Beltrami County

BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Highway Department will be replacing a culvert as part of the construction project taking place on the Scenic Highway Northeast,CSAH 39. This portion of CSAH 39 is already closed to through traffic, but the culvert replacement will result in total closure and motorists traveling in this area will have to find alternate routes or use the detour. The culvert is located on the Scenic Hwy NE, CSAH 39 a half-mile south of the junction of CSAH 22. The road will close Wednesday and should open again by Friday.

A second scheduled closure will be for the replacement of the culvert immediately east of the City of Blackduck on County Road 30, Alvwood Road Northeast has been moved up due to contractor availability. This replacement will begin at 7 am. Wednesday with completion and reopening to occur by 5 p.m. Thursday or Friday, depending on weather.
