Tribal member charged with biting, punching federal officer

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A tribal jail inmate faces new charges after he bit and punched a federal officer during an escape attempt.

According to court records, Brandon Joseph Eaton was arrested by a Makah Natural Resource officer on a local warrant on July 15. While in jail, Neigh Bay Police Officer Brandon Moss let Eaton out of his cell to make a phone call. On the way back, Eaton escaped and ran to the parking lot.
