Chief Anderson apparent winner in run-off

Incumbent Chief Phyliss J. Anderson is the apparent winner in the Choctaw Tribal Chief Runoff Election polling 1,907 votes, or 52 percent, to former Tribal Chief Beasley's 1746 votes, or 48 percent.

In the race for Tribal Council in the Tucker community, Wilma Simpson-McMillan won with 223 votes to Linda McMillan's 182 votes.

The two tied in the first election with 80 votes each, forcing a runoff.
