Babaamaajimowinan (Telling of news in different places)
The 6th Annual Ojibwe Language Camp was held at the Kiwenz Campgroundon on the Fond du Lac Reservation starting on Wednesday, June 17 and continuing to Sunday, June 21, 2015.
Items on the agenda included : Thursday and Friday – Mornings are reserved for learning and speaking the language; and, afternoons are reserved for working on cultural art projects; Friday night – Talent show – open to all campers; and Saturday - Mad Science, Canoe Races and Pow Wow.
Some of the class offerings included: Birch Bark Baskets, Moccasics, Daisy Chain Beading, Leather Tobacco Bags, Wood Bending Demonstration, Plant Walks, Board games and Puppet Shows.
