Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp Scheduled

Open to Kids Ages 6-18

The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians will host an Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 21, 22, and 23, 2015 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. for the third consecutive year.

The three-day camp will feature canoeing, lacrosse, Ojibwe bingo, moccasin games, plant identification, crafts, traditional Anishinaabe teachings and more. The camps main location will be the Ponemah Round House. Transportation and meals are provided.

The Camp is hosted by Red Lake Chemical Health, Red Lake Economic Development and Planning, and Oshkimaajitahdah (New Beginnings).

The Gabeshiwin (camp) is part of Red Lake Nation's Ojibwemowin Revitalization efforts.
