Carol Ann Sigana, age 66 of Red Lake, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with her family by her side. Carol was born on February 8, 1949 in Red Lake, to Roman, Sr. and Mary Jane (Jourdain) Sigana.

Carol lived in Red Lake her entire life and attended St. Mary's Mission School and Red Lake High School. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, including the Job Corp in Saginaw, Michigan in 1967, Red Lake trading post, and Seven Clans Casinos. She loved to spend time with her family and play cards at her house, and do word finds. She enjoyed going to the casino to play her free play. She also loved to attend the elder's gatherings and pow-wows. Carol will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Those welcoming Carol home are her parents; Roman, Sr. and Mary Jane, daughter; Michelle Sigana, brother; Darrell Sigana, sisters; Luann Sigana and Wanda Pierre, her grandparents and other relatives.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her significant other of 26 years; Adrian "Goat" Spears, sons; Ron (Nonny) Sigana, Kevin (Lavette Donnell) Sigana both of Red Lake-Redby, brothers; Emmanuel "Sonny" Sigana, Jr. and Johnny (Bonita Johnson) Sigana both of Red Lake, and Michael (Janice) Sigana of Bemidji, sisters; Ramona Sigana, Cora Sigana, Eldora (Arlen, Sr.) Lussier, Marcella Sigana, and Margaret Sigana all of Red Lake, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A wake service for Carol will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m., service on Saturday, July 4 all at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Carol will be Brandon Beaulieu, Brent Sigana, Sr., Brent Sigana, Jr., Desmond Sigana, Robin Lussier, Mark Sigana, Dylan Hanson and Shaun Schoenborn. Alternates will be John Sigana, Larry Sigana, Lawrence Lussier and George Schoenborn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eldora and Arlen Lussier, Ramona Sigana, Cora Sigana, Margaret Sigana, Marcella Sigana, Michael (Janice) Sigana, Emmanuel Sigana, John (Bonita Johnson) Sigana, Adrain Spears, Bobbi Ann Lussier, Patricia Sigana, Carlene Sigana, Cassidy White, Jan Lussier, Leighshell Lussier, Taylor Donnell, Jhordan Donnell, Shanelle Sigana, Missy Sigana, Sue Sigana, Christal Pierre, Summer Sigana, Devon Lussier and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake at a later date.
