One of the two Winnipeg police officers who last had contact with Tina Fontaine before she disappeared — with her body later found in the Red River — has returned to work.
The officer had been placed on administrative leave, but the internal process related to his case is complete and he has returned to duty, a police spokesperson confirmed to CBC News on Friday.
The other officer remains suspended without pay, as the process in his case is not yet complete, according to police.
