Winnipeg exhibit explores lost tradition of stopping by for tea

A new exhibit at a Winnipeg art gallery focuses on the importance of conversation and tea — specifically, medicinal teas that are used in North American indigenous cultures.

The Elders Say We Don't Visit Anymore by Dylan Miner began Friday and runs until Aug. 7 at the Martha Street Studio.

Miner, a Wiisaakodewini artist from Michigan, will host afternoon tea at the Martha Street gallery every Friday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join him for tea and a chat.
