Tribal leaders plan to evict the Rainbow People of Light

A counterculture gathering near Hill City continues to spur controversy and conversation by local citizens none too happy that the Rainbow People are gathering in the Black Hills.

Now, a group of tribal leaders is trying to assert legal authority to force the rainbow people to leave the Black Hills, based on tribal treaty law. Members of the Independent Lakota Nation issued a cease and desist order requiring every member of the Rainbow People of Light to leave the Black Hills immediately.
