Jumper identified as the search continues

COULEE DAM – The search for a 27-year-old tribal member who jumped from Grand Coulee Bridge around 7 a.m. this morning will continue downriver, Coulee Dam Police Chief Pat Collins told the Tribune.

A search and rescue team is trying to locate Jamie Ray Williams, of Nespelem, after authorities received a call of a Native American male jumping off the bridge.

Bureau of Reclamation, Colville Tribal Police and Natural Resource Officers assisted the initial search in the river below the Grand Coulee Dam. The Tribune reached out to the Colville Tribal Police but have not yet received a returned phone call.
