Henry "Hank" Clifton Bruce, 76 years old, of Blackduck, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji. Hank was born on February 2, 1939 in Onigum Township the son of Clinton and Julia (Beadeau) Bruce.
Hank entered the U.S. Army following his graduation from high school. Following his service to his country; Hank traveled around the U.S. There were only a couple of states that he didn't get a chance to visit. Hank will be missed by all his siblings and all his friends who knew him.
The family that he joins again are his parents; Clinton and Julia, brothers; William and Kenneth Bruce, one sister; Suzanne Smith and a grandson; Joshua Bruce.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his son; Kevin Bruce of Onigum, brothers; Clinton "Beeb" Bruce I, and Clinton "Gus" Bruce II, sisters; Ethel Johnson and Victoria Bruce all of Minneapolis, two grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A wake service for Hank will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, all held at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum. Rev. Mark R. Olson will officiate. Pallbearers for Hank will be Anthony Bushy, Jr., Andrew Bushy, Andretti Bushy, Steven Bruce, Mike Rice, and Andros Bushy. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Smith, Jim Beadeau, Genevieve Hanks, Joanne Hanks, and Stanley Chief. Interment will be held in the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery at Old Agency.
