Interactive exhibit on 'Why Treaties Matter' opens Monday

WALKER -- “Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nations,” a traveling exhibit, will have an opening celebration beginning at 9 a.m. Monday at the Northern Lights Casino and Event Center, 6800 Y Frontage Road NW, in Walker. The exhibit explores the American Indian nations in Minnesota and their history of treating making with the United States, according to a release. The opening of the exhibit will be followed by a special traditional breakfast buffet starting at 10 a.m.
