Gary Street calls the Enbridge pipelines under the Straits of Mackinac a "disaster just waiting to happen."
Street, a former engineering director with a Dow Chemical subsidiary, joined a group of researchers and environmental activists on Mackinac Island today to call for the immediate shutdown pending a full public review of the twin pipelines of Enbridge Line 5. Those lines carry an estimated 23 million gallons of oil and natural gas liquids per day through the Straits.
