Snoqualmie Indian Tribe elects new tribal council

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe held its annual membership meeting May 9 to update tribal projects and hold elections for the tribal council.

More than 200 tribal members attended and participated in the election.

“We were thrilled to see so many of our members attend the meeting,” Carolyn Lubenau, chairwoman of the tribal council, said in a news release. “The annual meeting is an important time to conduct official tribal business and celebrate recent successes for our tribe and the Snoqualmie people.”
