Moore schools face lawsuit over religious freedom at graduation

MOORE — A federal judge is being asked to decide whether an American Indian student can wear a sacred eagle feather on her cap at her high school graduation ceremony Saturday.

Moore school officials recently denied the request by a Southmoore High School student, prompting a federal lawsuit alleging infringement of the student’s religious freedom.
