Leo "Bart" Daniel Jordan, Jr., 57, "Gii-Wi-Se-Inini" which means "Hunter" went to his final resting place on May 12, 2015 at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Bart was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota on August 9, 1957 to Leo Sr. and Frances (Gould) Jordan.

He made the Onigum area his lifelong home. He was an avid fisherman/hunter and also a great wild game cook. He loved taking long walks and just enjoyed being outdoors. He was a very happy, caring person who would do anything for anybody. He enjoyed a good visit with many family and friends. He came from a very large family, so he had many nieces and nephews that he left behind. He is going to be greatly missed.

Bart is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Frances, sister; Lynda, uncles; Frank, John, Sam and Jacob, nieces; Dominique, Lynda and Jacqueline and nephews; Jason and James.

He leaves behind his son; Jacob Bellanger of Minneapolis, daughter; Barbra Bellanger of Minneapolis, brothers; Mike (Patty) of Mission, John (Louise) of Walker, Wayne of Bena, Terry of Onigum, Robin and Jerry both of Smokey Point, sisters; Jean (Owen) of Turtle River, Frieda (Chick) of Old Agency, Kathy (Carl) of Onigum, Theresa (Victor) of Onigum, Margaret (Ken) of Onigum and Bev (Joe) of Onigum, granddaughters; Ava Rose Belgarde of Deer River, Shawnacee Jae and Shaniyah Joan Bellanger both of Minneapolis, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

A wake for Bart will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16th and continue until his 11:00 a.m. service on Monday, May 18th all being held at the Onigum Community Center. Pastor Mark R. Olson and Donald Wright, Sr. will officiate. Bart's pallbearers will be Randy Thompson, Christopher Gould, Victor Thompson, Jeremiah Smith, Joshua Thompson and Bill Pell. His honorary pallbearers are Jim Dahl, Frank Oothoudt, John Whitebird, Ed Monroe, Roger Monroe, all his brothers, nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery at Old Agency following his Monday service.
