No information in Leech Lake shooting deaths

WALKER, Minn. -- Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch said Saturday he would not have an update on a shooting at a residence near the shores of Leech Lake until he receives a report from the medical examiner.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the sheriff’s office have been investigating the death of two people since last Tuesday night when they were called for medical assistance at a residence on the 8700 block of Midway Drive Northwest in Onigum, a small unincorporated community just across a stretch of Leech Lake from Walker.
