SKYWARN CLASS BEING OFFERED IN KELLIHER ON MAY 13th

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office Division of Emergency Management will be offering Skywarn Training (Severe Weather Spotters) on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 in Kelliher. The class will be held in the Kelliher School Commons located at 345 4th St NW in Kelliher starting at 7PM. Classes last approximately two to two and a half hours. There are no prerequisites to attend the class and the classes are free. Participants will be given the National Weather Service’s Weather Spotter’s Field Guide and trained on the detection of severe weather and how to appropriately respond to and report severe weather through a multimedia presentation.

This is the final class currently scheduled in Beltrami County for 2015. Whether you have an interest in being an active spotter or just want to learn more about severe weather, this class is informative and provides weather safety information as well.
