Law Enforcement Memorial Service - Public Invited

The Bemidji Police Department, Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and Blackduck Police Department are hosting a Law Enforcement Memorial Service to honor fallen police officers who have died in the line of duty.

The public is invited to attend the service scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 5:00 PM. The service will be held at the Judicial Center Courtyard located at the corner of Beltrami Avenue NW and 6th Street. If raining, the service will be held indoors at the Bemidji Fire Department, 315 5th St. NW.

This service is held each year during Law Enforcement Memorial Week in conjunction with the National Law Enforcement Memorial Service which was held in Washington DC, last Sunday.\

This year, officers will be remembering Mendota Heights Police Officer Scott Patrick who was shot to death on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 and the 127 other officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in 2014, and the 44 officers who have been murdered in the line of duty so far in 2015.
