Franklyn "June" Charles Strong, Jr., 28, of Red Lake, Minnesota and the Bear Clan, passed away at his home on May 2, 2015. He was born on January 31, 1987 in Bemidji, the son of Franklyn Sr. and Valerie (Parker) Cournoyer.

Franklyn liked to be with family and friends. Especially being with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his job very much, he was a logger for 10 years. Franklyn also loved going to the casino with his Mom and Grandma Iris. He liked making people laugh. Franklyn had a great sense of humor. He really enjoyed hanging out with his loved ones, listening to music and being on facebook. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph "Joey" Strong, grandfathers; Lawrence Parker and William "Pun" Strong, great grandparents; Calvin and Cecelia Kingbird and Flora White and Ole Smith, aunties; Laurie Parker, Casey Jourdain and Kathy Strong and nephew Tristan Thompson.

He leaves behind his son; Corde "Dizzle" Strong, father; Franklyn Strong, Sr., his mother; Valerie (Dave) Cournoyer, brothers; Jonathan "J-dub" Parker, Sr., Mike (Mandy Sumner) Strong, Tyrell Jones, Jalen Jones and David Cournoyer, Jr., a special brother; Jonathan Kingbird, sisters; Jessie Strong, Frankelle Strong, Sierra Strong, Joelle Jones, Davene (Jeff Spears) Parker and Iris Parker, a special sister; Heather Smith, grandmothers; Iris Barrett and Alverda "Babe" Strong, grandfather; Charles Barrett, aunts; Eva Jones and Donna Parker, uncles; Will (Stacey) Strong, Rob Parker, Sr. and Richard Bugg, cousins and many more relatives.

A wake for Franklyn will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5th and continue until his 3:00 p.m. service on Thursday, May 7th all being held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake. Father George Ross will officiate. Pallbearers for Franklyn are Jeff Jourdain, Mark Jourdain, Paul Jourdain, Earl Smith, Jeff Spears, Sr., Jonathan Kingbird and Dave Cournoyer, Sr. Alternate pallbearers are Roy White, Chris White, Austin Kingbird, Dave Cournoyer, Jr. and Blaine White, Jr. His honorary pallbearers are Richard Gibbs, Gene Barrett, Truman "Mister" Beaulieu, Jesus Santos, Gary Spears, Sr. and Jay Barrett. Interment will be in the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery at Red Lake following his Thursday service.
