Application Instructions

Please complete the attached application form to apply for the Minnesota Indian Teacher Training Program and submit it by 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered.

 A resident of Minnesota and,

 An enrolled member of the Red Lake Nation and,

 Have a High School Diploma or GED

 Be willing to become a full-time student at Bemidji State University

 Sign a promissory note

Selection Criteria

 Post-secondary achievement and background as evidenced by commitment to education

 Commitment to becoming a teacher

 Letters of recommendation

 Applicants scope of experience working with Native American youth

 Applicants desired area of certification compatible with future openings with Red Lake School District #38

 Complete interview with M.I.T.T.P. Committee

Submission

Submit completed application, high school and/or college transcripts and three (3) letters of recommendation to Sherri May , Red Lake Schools #38, PO Box 499, Red Lake, MN 56671. Materials may be faxed to 218-679-2321. Application deadline is 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.
