Cass Lake woman sentenced in copper theft case

HUBBARD COUNTY— A Cass Lake woman is the final person to be sentenced in a 2014 Hubbard County copper theft case. She and two accomplices were connected to theft from a lumber mill in Farden Township in August.

Nicole Goose, 25, was convicted of one count of felony aiding and abetting theft in Hubbard County District Court on March 23. Goose was sentenced to 45 days local confinement in the Hubbard County Jail and credited with 31 days time served. A year and a day prison sentence has been stayed for five years.
