Wanda Jean Pierre, 64, of Red Lake passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota with her family by her side. Wanda was born on August 18, 1950 in Red Lake, Minnesota to Roman, Sr. and Mary Jane (Jourdain) Sigana.

Wanda lived in Red Lake her entire life and attended the Red Lake schools. She married Patrick Pierre, Sr. in 1965, they spent 11 years together before divorcing. She then found her significant other of 35 years, Steven Beaulieu. She was employed with Red Lake gaming in the snack bar from 1994 to 2011, retiring on account of health problems. Wanda loved to spend time with her family and play cards at her sister Carol’s house. She also loved to gamble at the casino. She always had a smile upon her face that would light up your heart. Wanda will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Welcoming Wanda home are her parents, Roman and Mary Jane, son; Patrick Pierre, Jr, daughter; Laura Pierre, brother; Darrell Sigana, sister; Luann Sigana, granddaughter; Martina Sigana, her grandparents and other relatives.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her significant other of 35 years ; Steven Beaulieu, son; Darrell (April Hill) Pierre of Red Lake, daughters; Patricia Sigana, Christal (Troy Keezer) Pierre and Sue (Scott Graves) Sigana all of Red Lake, brothers; Emmanuel “Sonny” Sigana, Jr. and Johnny (Bonita Johnson) Sigana both of Red Lake and Michael (Janice) Sigana of Bemidji, sisters; Ramona Sigana, Carol (Adrian Spears) Sigana, Cora Sigana, Eldora (Arlen, Sr.) Lussier, Marcella Sigana and Margaret Sigana all of Red Lake, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Wanda will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8th at the Red Lake Community Center and continue until her 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, April 10th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.

Helping to lay Wanda to rest are Darrell Pierre, Deon Pierre, Ryan Smith, Michael Smith, Jr., Jason Spears, Tyrone Spears, Justin Sigana, Kevin Sigana, Mark Sigana, Ronald Sigana, Larry Sigana, Lawrence Lussier, Desmond Sigana and Robin Lussier. Alternate pallbearer is Alan Lussier, Jr.

Her honorary pallbearers are Patricia Sigana, Christal Pierre, Sue Sigana, Carlene Sigana, Melissa Sigana, Jan Lussier, Tawn White, Jhordan Donnell, Felicia Green, Diane Jourdain, Alivia Neadeau, Priscilla Graves, Naomi Kingbird, Sandra Sigana, Sabrina Sigana, Ashley Lussier Goulet and Leighshell Lussier. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake immediately following her Friday service.
