Martin Eugene Clark, Sr., 48, of Redby, passed away at his home on Friday, April 3, 2015. Marty was born on August 24, 1966, the son of Oliver Sr. and Irene (Spears) Clark, in Red Lake, Minnesota.

Marty was a very loyal friend, he loved to be with his children and grandchildren, walking around Redby visiting his friends and family drinking coffee and frost. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes and cribbage. Marty was always on the go. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army (1984-1986) where he was dishonorably discharged. Marty then graduated from Red Lake High School in 1988. He worked various jobs such as a residence manager at the Circle of Nations boarding schools from 1993-1994, as a security guard at Seven Clans Red Lake from 1994-1996. He will be greatly missed by his children, mother of his children, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Oliver and Irene Clark, grandparents; Richard and Ida Spears, Stella Webster and Joseph Clark, son; Martin Clark, Jr., sisters; Rebecca and Donna Clark, brothers; Adrian and Arlen (Scuzz) Clark and Johnny Thunder, nieces; Kayla McBride and Savannah Ravensborg, nephews; Douglas McBride, Ayden Strong and Brian Cournoyer, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Marty is survived by his children Shawn (Alida) Oakgrove, Sr., Anna (Mike) Oakgrove, Leichelle (Anthony) Oakgrove, Holly (Ryan) Oakgrove and Nicholas Brown, grandchildren; Shawn, Jr., Tayshawn, Ravyn, Isiah, Caiden, Caiten, Ethan, Alex and Mataeya, sisters; Raesie Ravensborg, Renee (Mike) Clark, brothers; Oliver (Roxy) Clark, Jr., Donald (Lisa) Clark, Gitch Clark and Myron Clark, Sr.

A wake for Marty will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9th and continue until his 2:00 p.m. service Saturday, April 11th, all being held at the Redby Community Center in Redby, Minnesota. Father George Ross will officiate. Pallbearers for Marty will be Barry Oakgrove, Sr., Kevin Spears, Charlie Barrett, Sheldon (Skin) Brown, Terry Jourdain, Billy Jack Schoenborn, Mike Ostlund, Sr. and Mike Thunder. Alternate pallbearers are Kip Neadeau and Anthony Greene. His honorary pallbearers are Shawn Oakgrove, Sr., Anna Oakgrove, Leichelle Oakgrove, Holly Oakgrove, Nicholas Brown, Shane Clark, Anthony Morrison, Ryan Brown, Corky Clark, Don Clark, Myron Clark, Gitch Clark, Gilbert Lasley, Benjamin Kingbird, Darrell (Dane) Clark, Dolan Donnell, Rod Lussier, Bruce (Hooter) Stillday, Cheryl Oakgrove, Rae Ravensborg, Dawn Schoenborn, Nae Clark, Shelly Barton-Schoenborn, Becky Strong, Karen Strong, Shannon Strong, Crystal Strong, David Clark, Ashley Clark, Dan Strong, Adrian Clark, Cheyenne Clark, Sheri Clark, Shane Clark, Shayna Clark, Roger Ravensborg, Jr., Michael Ravensborg, Daisha Ravensborg and Darilyn Ravensborg. Interment will be in St. Antipas Episcopal Cemetery in Redby following his Saturday service.
