All night wake will be held also on Saturday, April 4th beginning at 7P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota.

Priscilla Lavonne Frenier-Simon was born January 06, 1946 in Havana North Dakota to Joseph (Joe) Frenier and Cordelia Ajiji Standfast-Frenier. She grew up West of the Frenier damn near Havana ND and Marlow SD Township. She attended Sisseton High School and graduated in 1967. Priscilla attended the Watertown Business University, graduated, then went on to work at PHS for Mrs. Thayer in 1970. Rev. Michael and Priscilla Simon were united in marriage in September 1965. Priscilla and Michael moved to Phoenix Arizona where she worked as an administrative assistant at Cook Christian Training School for several months. Priscilla then got the opportunity to work for the Motorola Corporation as a team member for 6 years where she was promoted to supervisor. Priscilla was there to help her husband while he attended Cook Christian Training School. After Michael graduated the family moved back to Sisseton, South Dakota where they worked for four years for the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. Michael was called to the ministry and they move their family to Dubuque, Iowa, where he attended the theological seminary and she attended Loris College to pursue her degree as a dietitian. After Michael completed at the theological seminary the family moved back to Sisseton SD in June 1983. Priscilla continued her education at the University of Huron receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1990. Priscilla taught in the 5th & 6th grade at Tiospa Zina Tribal School where she worked for 13 years. Priscilla loved to teach which began in Mayasan Presbyterian Church as a Sunday school teacher she later became an Elder for more than 20 years. Priscilla was dedicated to helping others as well as her family. Priscilla was a mother, a teacher, a caregiver and a good friend. One of her favorite joys was making beautiful star quilts, listening to oldies but goodies music, watching western movies and gardening. Priscilla was a very kind hearted and a generous loving person, she will be greatly missed. Priscilla is survived by her husband: Rev. Michael Simon; three daughters: Gretta Simon, Izola Simon & Nicolette Simon and her son Eliphelet Simon Sr.; adopted daughters: Levette & Minerva Keoke; Grandsons: Eliphelet Jr., Lyle, Stephen, Ayden, Jayden, Kobias, Daniel Simon and Malachai Owen; Granddaughters: Reann Waloke, Emily Jo Simon & Grace Lavonne Flying Horse; many great grandsons and great granddaughters; sister: Gina Morgan and brother: Filmore Grant. Priscilla is preceded in death by her father Joseph Frenier, mother Cordelia Standfast-Frenier, brothers Thurman Max, Cornelius Frenier and sisters Minerva Goodbird, Theresa Hart, Eunice Goodbird, aunts and uncles. Funeral services for Priscilla Frenier-Simon will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Officiating: Reverend Enright Bighorn, CRE Gerald “Jr.” Hemminger Jr., Reverend Clifford Canku, CRE Filmore Simon, Reverend Michael Simon and Guest Preacher-Reverend Dwight Fearing. Interment will follow at Mayasan Presbyterian Church Cemetery. All night wake will be held on Friday, April 3rd beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Long Hollow District Community Center. Further all night wake will be held on Saturday, Apriil 4th beginning at 7:00 P.m. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Honorary Casket Bearers: Shirley Wise, Edwina Bernard, Lois Jackson, Martha Mandan, Bonita “Sugar” Hart, Kim Coon, Alberta Crawford, Jackie Grant, Sandee Geshick, Loticia Barker, Echo Coon and Dr. Bruce & Anne Marie Maylath. Casket Bearers will be Eliphelet J. Simon, Jr., Stephen M. Simon, Lyle J. Simon, Joshua Laughter, Ayden Rain Simon, Jarret Coon, Thurston Owen and Aaron Lavergne.
