Richanda Marie Hill, "Ho Waste Win" (Good Voice Woman), age 77, of Sisseton, South Dakota went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on January 5, 1938 in Sisseton, South Dakota the daughter of Sam & Martha Hill.

She attended school at Flandreau Indian School.

Richanda did some work at the poultry in Watertown, South Dakota and also worked for the I.H.S. where she worked under the late Mrs. Naomi Renville. She enjoyed working with Naomi very much and wanted to pursue a career in nursing like Mrs. Renville but unfortunately it did not work out.

Richanda enjoyed very much playing bingo up until her illness and she also enjoyed attending pow wows, her favorite category to watch was the men's fancy dance.

Richanda is survived by eight children: Ronald "Chaske" Hill & wife Denise of Sisseton, South Dakota, Kenneth Hill of Sisseton, South Dakota, Debra Hill Brydon of Warroad, Minnesota, Leslie Hill of Sisseton, Richard "Soupbone" Hill & wife Karen of Sisseton, South Dakota, Nancy Kusik of Oxford, Pennsylvania, Lisa Blue of Huron, South Dakota and Lenore York-Garrels & husband Jamie of Huron, South Dakota; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters: Mavis Hill of Sisseton, South Dakota and Christine Hill of Sisseton, South Dakota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: Sam & Martha Hill, brothers: John, Rueben, Wilbur and Dennis "Fish" and by sisters: Kazieh (Kay) Hill, Darlene Hill, Janice Hill, Olivia Hill Palacio and Evangeline Lesko.

Funeral services for Richanda Maire Hill will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Reverend Enright Bighorn, Pastor Morgan Redday and Pastor Milton Owen will officiate. Kay Burshiem will be the pianist.

Interment will follow at Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

All night wakes will be held on Thursday, April 2nd and Friday, April 3rd beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Barbara King, Darlene King, Carol Iron Moccasin, Judy LaBelle, Mona St. John, Della Shepherd, Lorna Anderson, Pauline Knipp, Rhonda Hoper, Patline Norris, Marion Hornoif, Marcella Haug, LouAnn Phelps, Geraldine Rencountre and Cindy Pederson and all her bingo friends.

Casket Bearers will be Sylvester Hill, Larry Keoke Jr., Buran DuBois, Sam DuBois, Richard DuBois Jr., Rayce Hill, Aron Hill and Anthony Frenier Jr.
