Healthy eating habits for expectant mothers’ overall wellness

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Expectant parents can learn healthy eating habits for overall wellness during a Cookin’ Up Change cooking demonstration from 5 to 7 p.m. April 9 at Harmony Foods Co-op Community Kitchen, 302 Irvine Ave. N.W., Bemidji, Minn.

Join guest chefs Jessica Stay, University of Minnesota medical student, and Suzanne Human, M.D., Sanford Bemidji Family Medicine physician, for this free class/demonstration and learn tips about the importance of eating a well-balanced diet while pregnant. Registration is required for this event held by Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota, the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians and Jessica Stay.

Eating properly while pregnant will benefit both mother and baby through pregnancy and beyond. Samples of all foods prepared will be shared.
