Tribal chair: BIA's Duffy "stable" after attack

Patrick Duffy, superintendent for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation, will be in the hospital until Monday, said Roxanne Sazue, chairwoman of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe.

Duffy, who lives in Pierre, was attacked Wednesday in his office in Fort Thompson, South Dakota, by a man wielding a knife, according to people who know him and the alleged attacker, as well as a BIA source.
