MINNESOTA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION

This week, the Minnesota Sheriffs Association (MSA) sent solicitations to many households seeking voluntary membership as an Honorary Member of the Minnesota Sheriff's Association. I know every day our citizens are bombarded with solicitations and scams so it is nearly impossible to determine if there are any real charities or worthy causes that exist any longer. That is why it is so important to know where you are considering donating your hard earned money and where that money is being spent.

The Minnesota Sheriff's Association was formed in 1885 with the main goal of professional development of sheriffs and their employees and that is still the main goal of the association today. The Minnesota Sheriff's Association helps to enhance public safety by providing state-of-the-art training and education to deputies and employees in our sheriff's offices. This ensures our officers are well equipped to deal with violent crime, homeland security, threats to our children from illegal drug use and more.

The MSA is a legitimate 501c3 Educational Association that uses all monies raised through donations to fund education for law enforcement officers or to fund educational scholarship opportunities for future law enforcement officers. For further information you can check out their website:
