Louis Sailor, Sr., age 74, of Cass Lake, began his spiritual journey on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. He was born on July 23, 1941 in Duluth, the son of George and Josephine (Skip-in-the-day) Sailor.

Louis loved spending time with his family, going to play keno at the casino, watching Harry Potter, listening to his Johnny Cash c.d.'s, and most of all, doing dishes.

Those family members he joins again include his parents; George and Josephine, brother; Freddy Sailor, sister; Mary Ann, and cousins; Sarah and Joanne.

The family that he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Linda of Cass Lake, sons; Leon Sailor and Louis Sailor, Jr. both of Minneapolis, daughters; Elisa Sailor and Leta Sailor both of Minneapolis, grandchildren; Carol Jean Sailor, Larissa Lee Sailor, Lawrence Joseph Sailor (Dionicca Lee Kier), Lyndon Lee Sailor, Landrew Terrance-Wayne Sailor, Lia Linda Sailor, Louis Sailor III, and Loren Sailor, great grandchildren; Jaci Morrow, Logan Morrow, Zane Louis Sailor, one great grandchild on the way, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Louis will begin at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, February 3, all at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake. Spiritual leader will be Allen "Manidoo" Hardy. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Sailor, Lyndon Sailor, Louis Sailor, Jr., Leon Sailor, John Johnson, Chase Johnson and Dallas Boswell. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren Carol, Larissa, Joseph, Lyndon, Landrew, Lia, Louis III, and Loren, great grandchildren Jaci, Logan, and Zane. Posting of colors will be accorded by Leech Lake American Legion Post 2001. Interment will be held in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
